Watercolors Fundraising

Over the past few years, I have really developed a passion for watercolor painting. I enjoy painting scenery, such as sunsets and mountainscapes. Although I am still an amateur, I think it would be a neat idea to do a project centered around my pieces. I’m thinking that it would be fun to paint a ton of different small pieces, and then do an auction or create an Etsy account to sell them. From there, I want to donate 100% of the proceeds to a non-profit organization. I believe this would benefit both me and the organization. For me, it would be getting my work out into the world, and of course the monetary donation would help out the organization I choose.

Another idea I have is to teach watercolor classes for free. Either to children or older citizens in nursing homes (which may get complicated depending on the covid-19 situation). Children would love another way to channel all that creativity that is so built into them. And it would give the older citizens something to have good discussions over, as well as give them the chance to make a beautiful piece.
